Senior Relationship Manager & Head of Texas
Bas Solleveld is a senior relationship manager and head of Texas for CIBC Private Wealth with 20 years of investment industry experience. In this role, he leads the wealth teams in Austin, Dallas and Houston and provides sophisticated investment and wealth management solutions to families, individuals, and non-profit organizations. Bas is also a member of CIBC Private Wealth, U.S. Multi-Manager Investment Committee and the CIBC Private Wealth Operating Committee.
Prior to joining the Houston office in 2012, Bas directed the firm’s private equity and real estate investment platforms. In this capacity, he led manager due diligence and selection in addition to monitoring approved manager performance and analysis of those illiquid markets. Collaborating with relationship managers and their clients, Bas sought to find the most appropriate alternative asset managers within the framework of clients’ risk tolerance and asset allocations.
He joined the firm’s Boston office in 2004 in the client strategies group, where he was responsible for client reporting and portfolio optimization.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Franklin & Marshall College. Bas is a board member of the Houston Zoo, and a board member of The Women’s Home.
