Senior Relationship Manager
Eric Riak is a senior relationship manager in CIBC Private Wealth’s Boston office with over 30 years of industry experience. In this role, he serves as a trusted advisor, delivering personalized investment and wealth management solutions to high-net-worth individuals, families and foundations that integrate their financial, estate, tax and philanthropic objectives. Eric is also a member of the firm’s Multi-Manager Investment Committee, which reviews and approves long-only and alternative asset class managers used in client portfolios. Prior to joining in 1998, Eric was a senior accountant in Executive Monetary Management’s tax consulting group. He began his career in Arthur Andersen’s personal financial planning group. Eric earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a concentration in accounting from Washington University and holds the Certified Public Accountant and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certifications. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Massachusetts Society of CPAs, the Financial Planning Association and the Boston Estate Planning Council. Eric also serves as treasurer of the board of trustees for the Neighborhood House Charter School, where he is a member of the executive committee and chairs the finance committee. Additionally, he serves on the investment committee for the Ocular Immunology & Uveitis Foundation at the Massachusetts Eye Research and Surgery Institution. He is a former member of the board of investments for the First Unitarian Society of Newton as well as the former treasurer of the board for the Newton Little League, a local children’s baseball league.
