Senior Vice President•Senior Wealth Strategist
John Batterton is a senior wealth strategist for CIBC Private Wealth with over 20 years of industry experience. In this role, he works closely with clients and their team of advisors to develop and implement comprehensive wealth transfer strategies as part of CIBC Private Wealth’s integrated wealth management process.
Prior to joining the firm, John spent 14 years at Bank of America Private Bank (formally U.S. Trust), most recently serving as a wealth strategies advisor, where he focused his efforts on estate planning, multigenerational wealth transfer, financial analysis and cash flow projections. He also previously worked at a law firm that specialized in estate planning, elder care and estate administration.
John earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Hofstra University, a Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School and previously served as secretary of the Committee on Estates and Gift Taxation for the New York City Bar Association.
