Senior Equity Trader
Rebecca Babin is a senior equity trader for CIBC Private Wealth in New York, with more than 15 years of industry experience. In this role, Rebecca is responsible for trading equities and equity derivatives for CIBC’s Energy Infrastructure Strategy. She also provides derivative analysis and hedging strategies for CIBC’s Energy Infrastructure Strategy, as well as CIBC Private Wealth clients.
Previously, she was a trader at Pacific Investment Management Company (PIMCO), where she traded global equities and derivatives. Rebecca began her career with a trading position at Goldman Sachs in 2000.
A highly regarded commentator on the energy sector, Rebecca is often quoted in such national publications as the The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, MarketWatch, Bloomberg and CNBC, and she frequently appears as a guest on Bloomberg TV and other media outlets.
Rebecca received a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in economics from Boston College, where she was a three-time All-American Division 1 skier. She also ran the New York City Marathon in 2009 to benefit the Robin Hood Foundation and traveled to Paraguay in 2012 for a Habitat for Humanity project.
