Senior Relationship Manager
Vicken Ekmekjian is a senior relationship manager for CIBC Private Wealth in San Francisco with more than 25 years of industry experience. In this role, he serves as a trusted advisor, delivering personalized investment and wealth management solutions to high-net-worth individuals, families and foundations that integrate their financial, estate, tax and philanthropic objectives. He is also a member of CIBC Private Wealth’s Asset Allocation Committee, which sets the firm’s target asset allocation recommendations. Vicken began his career at JP Morgan Private Bank as an investment officer responsible for managing portfolios for high-net-worth clients, including asset allocation and diversification through disciplined tax-sensitive strategies. He also served as a graduate school intern at Morgan Stanley, where he was responsible for a wide range of wealth management assignments. Vicken earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration with honors from the University of San Francisco and a Master of Business Administration from Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the San Francisco Security Analysts Society. Vicken is currently a director of the KZV Armenian School Endowment Fund and a member of its finance committee. He is also an active member and an angel investor at Sand Hill Angels in Silicon Valley and a member of the University of San Francisco Alumni Leadership Council.
