Alejandro Merchan is a senior trust advisor at CIBC Private Wealth, with more than 20 years of industry experience. In this role, he is responsible for managing all aspects of trust administration and providing centralized day-to-day trust administration support. Alejandro also partners with relationship managers and client service associates to provide support for clients’ trust accounts.

Prior to joining the firm, Alejandro served as an advisor at Northern Trust, where he oversaw and worked on all aspects of relationship management and financial planning for high net worth clients.

Alejandro attended business school at Universidad del Azuay in Ecuador, and he holds the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) certification.
