Eric B. Propper, CFA
Eric Propper is the president of CIBC Private Wealth Management, with more than 35 years of industry experience. He serves on the CIBC Private Wealth Management US Operating Committee, Asset Allocation and Multi-Manager Investment committees as well as the CIBC U.S. Operating Committee. He is a director of CIBC Delaware Trust Company and CIBC Private Wealth Advisors, Inc. Eric also serves as a senior relationship manager providing comprehensive portfolio and wealth management for high net worth individuals, families, foundations and endowments.
He joined the firm in 1998 from J. Bush & Co. and previously spent 10 years with Shearson Lehman Brothers and E.F. Hutton & Co.
Eric earned a Bachelor of Arts from Hobart College and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia University. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of the Stamford Society of Security Analysts.
Eric is currently a director of NeuroGenomex Inc., a biotech company based in Madison, WI, and also served as a trustee for the Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut. Additionally, he has been featured in the Financial Times, CFA Institute Magazine, Private Asset Management and Family Wealth Report, and was listed in both Barron’s 2018 Top Advisor ranking and Barron’s 2019 Top Advisor ranking.
