Keith Malooley is a relationship manager for CIBC Private Wealth with more than 20 years of industry experience. Keith’s comprehensive, advisory-based approach focuses on all aspects of his clients’ needs, including financial planning, investment management, trust and estate planning, succession planning, philanthropy, and wealth transfer strategies.
Prior to joining Geneva Advisors, which became part of CIBC in 2017, Keith was a director at BMO Private Bank, where he served as a wealth advisor and senior portfolio manager for high net worth clients. He specializes in strategies related to liquidity events such as IPOs, dividend recaps, ESOPs, outright sale of ownership stake and retirement planning. His broad client base includes owners of privately held businesses and C-suite executives of public and sponsor-owned companies.
He was a voting member of BMO’s Asset Allocation Committee, which is responsible for determining investment strategy for investment portfolios within the Personal Investment Management Group of BMO Private Bank. He was also a contributing editor for the REIT section of the bank's flagship research publication, The Asset Allocation Metrics. Prior to employment at BMO, he was a portfolio manager at Northern Trust Company in Chicago.
Keith holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Illinois State University. He is a member of the CFA Institute, CFA Society of Chicago, Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, and the Financial Planning Association of Illinois and holds both the Chartered Financial Analyst® certification and the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification.
