We’re already giving thought to what the world will look like when we’re past the worst of the coronavirus.

We’re already giving thought to what the world will look like when we’re past the worst of the coronavirus. A return to normalcy will, in a number of dimensions, still be a new normal. The last crisis left behind a changed financial system, a pile of government debt, a long road to full employment and a cycle in which the new normal for interest rates was much lower.

 

So, we ask ourselves: What will the coronavirus recession have wrought when we look back on it years from now?
