Senior Relationship Manager
David Pierce is a senior relationship manager for CIBC Private Wealth with more than 25 years of industry experience. He was chief financial officer for Geneva Advisors for more than 10 years before transitioning to his current role as an investment advisor. The transition allows him to help clients navigate through the complex issues of wealth management. David specializes in working with high net worth families to protect and grow their wealth. By drawing on his previous experience as a tax practitioner, he focuses on mitigating taxes within client portfolios through asset location and other strategies. Prior to founding Geneva Advisors, which became part of CIBC in 2017, David spent seven years with Arthur Andersen, including serving as an investment advisor representative in the private client services group. Earlier, he spent three years with Moller Financial, a registered investment adviser in Northfield, Illinois. David holds the Certified Public Accountant certification in the state of Illinois. He has a Bachelor in General Studies degree with a concentration in accounting from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He also earned a Master of Taxation degree from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia.
