Phil Lorenz is an equities analyst for CIBC Private Wealth with more than 20 years of industry experience.
Prior to joining Geneva Advisors, which became part of CIBC in 2017, Phil spent 18 years covering the technology sector in analyst and portfolio manager roles at UBS O’Connor, Northern Trust, Magnetar Capital, Neuberger Berman and Driehaus Capital Management. He has worked on investment products that covered both domestic and international strategies, including all market caps. Earlier in his career, he valued intellectual property for patent disputes at a small consulting firm. Prior to that, he spent five years at IBM Corporation working in engineering and sales roles.
Phil holds a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering from Northwestern University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago. Phil is a Chartered Financial Analyst® charterholder.
