Katie R. McClanahan

Associate Managing Director

Katie McClanahan is a director of trust administration in CIBC Private Wealth’s Chicago office, with 10 years of industry experience. In this role, she works closely with the firm’s wealth strategies and relationship teams to provide fiduciary expertise and trust administration support, including trust review and acceptance, trust modification and review of other discretionary matters. She also lends her expertise to the firm’s fiduciary committees.​

Prior to joining the firm, Katie was a vice president and senior trust administrator at BMO Private Bank, managing complex and high-risk accounts in the fiduciary risk management unit. Previously, she was an associate attorney at Peck Bloom LLC, where she represented high net worth families and corporate fiduciaries in trust and estate litigation and administration​

Katie received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Tennessee and a Juris Doctor degree from Wake Forest University School of Law. She is an active volunteer with the Center for Disability and Elder Law and Chicago Volunteer Legal Services.
