Katie R. McClanahan

Associate Managing Director

Katie McClanahan is the national director of trust administration for CIBC National Trust Company with 15 years of industry experience. In this role, she leads a team of regional directors of trust administration and senior estate settlement advisors who provide fiduciary expertise and trust administration management, oversight and support to the firm’s relationship management, operations and wealth strategies teams. She also works with her team to create and implement fiduciary policies, procedures and best practices. Additionally, Katie lends her expertise to the firm’s fiduciary committees.

Prior to joining the firm, Katie was a vice president and senior trust administrator at BMO Private Bank, managing complex and high-risk accounts in the fiduciary risk management unit. Previously, she was an associate attorney at Peck Bloom LLC, where she represented high net worth families and corporate fiduciaries in trust and estate litigation and administration​

Katie received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Tennessee and a Juris Doctor degree from Wake Forest University School of Law. She is an active volunteer with the Center for Disability and Elder Law and Chicago Volunteer Legal Services.
