Ben Nguyen

Analyst

Ben Nguyen is an investment portfolio analyst at CIBC Private Wealth. In this role, he is responsible for deploying, monitoring and updating investment models for use in client accounts. Additionally, he is accountable for compiling and reporting various metrics used for compliance and regulatory purposes. He also assists with research and modeling activities in support of the asset allocation committee and various other internal partners.​

Previously, he served as an intern with CIBC Private Wealth for the multi-manager investment program (MMIP).  In this role, he performed data transformation and enhancement of onshore funds and offshore hedge funds as well as customized alternative portfolio solutions. He also assisted the team with the creation of valuation metrics and models for covered hedge fund managers. Prior to joining the firm, Ben served as a tutor and tutor partner at the Lab for Economics, Finance and Accounting (LEAF) at Bentley University for undergraduate and graduate topics of finance.​

Ben earned a Master of Science in finance with a concentration in financial analytics and a Bachelor of Science degree in finance with a concentration in capital markets from Bentley University.
