Brett Amerson

Managing Director

Brett is a market manager covering southern California for CIBC Private Wealth, with over 15 years of industry experience.  In this role, he is responsible for establishing and growing relationships with high net worth individuals and families, C-suite executives, and business owners.  Working with other members of CIBC’s Wealth Management team, Brett assists his clients with private banking services, wealth and liquidity management, and trust and estate services.

Prior to joining the firm, Brett served as a private client advisor at Bank of America’s Private Bank where he led a team of specialists to design and implement tailored financial strategies in investment management, trust and estate planning services, liquidity event strategies, lending and philanthropy. Prior to his career in finance, he served as an infantry officer in the U.S. Marine Corps with 8 years of active duty.

Brett earned a Bachelor of Science in ocean engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, from Texas A&M University, and a Master of Business Administration with emphases in finance and real estate from the University of San Diego.
