Bas Solleveld

Managing Director

Bas Solleveld is head of Texas for CIBC Private Wealth and a senior relationship manager with over 20 years of industry experience. In this role, he leads the wealth teams in Austin, Dallas and Houston and serves as a trusted advisor, delivering personalized investment and wealth management solutions to high-net-worth individuals, families and foundations that integrate their financial, estate, tax and philanthropic objectives. Bas is also a member of CIBC Private Wealth, U.S. Multi-Manager Investment Committee and the CIBC Private Wealth Operating Committee.

Prior to joining the Houston office in 2012, Bas directed the firm's private equity and real estate investment platforms. In this capacity, he led manager due diligence and selection in addition to monitoring approved manager performance and analysis of those illiquid markets. Collaborating with relationship managers and their clients, Bas sought to find the most appropriate alternative asset managers within the framework of clients' risk tolerance and asset allocations. He joined the firm’s Boston office in 2004 in the client strategies group, where he was responsible for client reporting and portfolio optimization.

Bas earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Franklin & Marshall College. He has been recognized by Barron’s in the 2025 and 2026 "Top Advisor Rankings by State" and is a board member of both the Houston Zoo and The Women’s Home.
