Dear Valued Clients:

CIBC Private Wealth is taking important steps to improve your everyday experience with us. Beginning in October, we will launch our new technology platform, delivering enhanced capabilities and an improved investor dashboard, both designed to give you a better overview of your financial picture. In preparation for the transition to the new technology platform, we outline several changes for your review.

CLIENT WEBSITE AND MOBILE APP

Investor Dashboard, our new client portal, will be activated on Tuesday, October 3 and will provide you with 24/7 access to your portfolio. If you currently have online access, new login credentials and instructions for accessing the Investor Dashboard website and mobile application will be emailed to you the morning of October 3rd.

Within the Investor Dashboard, year-to-date (YTD) activity will only show from October 1, 2023, through December 31, 2023. A full calendar year of historical data will begin to appear in your January 2024 statement and going forward. You will continue to have access to the current Portfolio Online through January 31, 2024.

CIBC PRIVATE WEALTH STATEMENTS

You will receive your September 30, 2023, CIBC statement from the current platform. This will provide a view on historical data before the transition.

Starting in November, monthly CIBC statements will be generated from the new platform. Please note that within your new statement, year-to-date (YTD) activity will only show from October 1, 2023, through December 31, 2023. A full calendar year of historical data will begin to appear in your January 2024 statement and going forward.

INVESTMENT OBJECTIVES / INVESTMENT POLICY STATEMENT

Your existing Investment Policy Statement (IPS) and Investment Objective remains unchanged. However, the naming convention of your Investment Objectives may differ slightly from prior communications. Upon conversion to the new platform, your Investment Objective will be included on your CIBC Private Wealth statement. If you have any questions regarding the investment objective shown, please contact your CIBC Private Wealth Relationship Manager.

ACCOUNT NUMBER, SETTLEMENT, AND WIRE INSTRUCTIONS

Please be advised that your CIBC Private Wealth account number will change upon conversion to the new platform.

  • CIBC custody: If you custody your assets with CIBC, your settlement and wire instructions will also change. If you require your account number or the instructions to send a wire or transfer assets to CIBC, please contact your CIBC Private Wealth Relationship Manager.
  • External custody: If you custody your assets at a third-party custodian, (e.g. Schwab, Fidelity, Pershing, etc.), there are no changes to the custodian’s account number or delivery instructions.
