Daniel C. Carter

Senior Vice President

Dan Carter is a senior relationship manager in CIBC Private Wealth, U.S.’s Houston office with more than 20 years of industry experience. In this role, he manages client relationships and implements strategies designed to help clients achieve their financial, estate planning and philanthropic goals.​

Prior to joining the firm in 2014,  Dan spent over ten years with UBS as a Senior Vice President. Dan worked at RNS Capital, LP where he assisted with the development and management of the firm, focusing on capital development and investor relations. Dan started his financial services career with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, and four years with Morgan Stanley prior to his time at UBS.​

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and an MBA from The University of Texas. While at UT, Dan was a Texas Cowboy and was selected as the Distinguished Naval Graduate from the NROTC Program. He served on active duty with the United States Marine Corps and was awarded the Navy Achievement and Humanitarian Medals. Dan resigned from the USMC as a Captain prior to his return to business school. Dan has served on the MBA advisory Council at The University of Texas McCombs School of Business and is a Trustee for the Marine Military Academy in Harlingen Texas.
