Evan Katz is a fixed income credit analyst at CIBC Private Wealth, with 26 years of industry experience. Evan provides fundamental credit research for a broad array of industries and contributes to the formulation and execution of the firm's fixed income strategy.
Prior to joining the firm, Evan worked at Northern Trust, where he served as a fixed income research analyst on the industrials and financials teams for investment-grade and high-yield mandates, supporting $470 billion in fixed income assets under management. He has covered regional banks, real estate investment trusts, property and casualty insurance, consumer products, retail, restaurants, healthcare, services, technology and transportation companies, as well as the food, beverage and tobacco industry. Evan held additional roles at Northern Trust in municipal money market portfolio management, trading and fund accounting.
Evan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
Evan holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
