Gordon C. Scott, CFA
Managing Director and Portfolio Manager, Equities
Gordon Scott is an equities portfolio manager for CIBC Private Wealth Management’s Equity Income and Large Cap Growth strategies, with more than 25 years of industry experience.
Before joining Geneva Advisors, which became part of CIBC in 2017, Gordon spent nine years at Rail-Splitter Capital Management, most recently as a principal overseeing the firm’s investments in services, industrials and financials. Prior to that, he was a co-founder, principal and portfolio manager at a boutique investment firm in Kenilworth, Illinois. Earlier in his career, Gordon spent 12 years managing a variety of business units in the consumer packaged goods and pharmaceutical divisions of Merck and Pfizer.
Gordon earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Northwestern University and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.
Additionally, he serves as Northwestern University National Reunion co-chair, as well as co-chair of the Northwestern University Leadership Circle Chicago Board. Gordon is also a member of the Sunset Ridge Education Foundation Board, Northfield Police Pension Board of Trustees, CFA Society of Chicago’s DSS committee, Northfield Parks Foundation Board and the Economic Club of Chicago’s Reception Committee.
