Jim Farrell is a managing director and co-manager of the Disciplined Equity and Global Sustainable Equity Strategies and a senior healthcare analyst with over 15 years of industry experience.​

Prior to joining Geneva Advisors, which became part of CIBC Private Wealth in 2017, Jim was an analyst at Grosvenor Capital Management. Previously, he was a healthcare analyst at Citadel Investment Group. Jim worked at Geneva as a healthcare analyst for three years prior to his time at Citadel. Prior to that, he served as an associate portfolio manager at Harris Trust. He began his career as a consultant at Arthur Andersen.​

Jim received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.
