Jigar Patel is an investment portfolio manager and co-heads the hedge fund research efforts within the Multi-Manager Investment Program (MMIP), based in New York. With over 15 years of industry experience, he is responsible for managing the MMIP hedge fund platform.

Prior to joining the firm in 2007, he was a research analyst for Asset Alliance, a $3.2 billion niche strategy-focused hedge fund of funds in New York City. His responsibilities included assisting the chief investment officer in hedge fund portfolio construction and quantitative research for the firm’s multi-strategy, long/short equity and CTA-focused fund of funds.

Prior to Asset Alliance, he worked as an analyst in the Interest Rate Derivatives Group for Bank of America, where he helped analyze risk for derivative portfolios. Jigar started his career as an institutional equity trader employing quantitative trading strategies with BNY Mellon’s Quantitative Equity Trading Group (QETG).

He earned a Bachelor of Science in finance from Rutgers University and a Master of Science in financial engineering with honors from the New York University (NYU) Tandon School of Engineering. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.
