Jon Schmitt is a senior tax associate at CIBC Private Wealth, with over five years of industry experience. In this role, he is responsible for preparing agency, retirement and fiduciary tax returns. He also works closely with trust administrators to review and close trust accounts.
Prior to joining the firm, Jon served as a tax supervisor at Shepard Schwartz & Harris, where he worked closely with high net worth individuals and reviewed individual, partnership and trust tax returns.
Jon earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Carthage College, and he holds the Certified Public Accountant certification.
