Managing Director

Judith Saxe is a senior wealth strategist and the director of research and education for wealth strategies at CIBC Private Wealth Management.

In this role, she leads firm-wide educational initiatives related to the work of the Wealth Strategies Group, including issues related to estate, income, gift and legacy planning, strategic philanthropy and more. She also works directly with clients and their advisors to review existing estate plans and to develop and help implement estate, gift, charitable, business succession and legacy planning as part of CIBC Private Wealth Management’s integrated wealth management process.

Judith has more than 25 years of industry experience counseling high net worth individuals, corporate executives, owners of closely held businesses and multinationals on sophisticated estate planning designs and strategies.

She joined the firm in 2003 from Ernst & Young LLP, where she was the New England-area director of estate and business succession planning. Prior to this time, Judith practiced law with a specialty in estate planning at major firms in New York City. She currently serves on the board of directors of the National Association of Estate Planning Councils (NAEPC) following an 11-year tenure on the executive committee and board of directors of The Boston Estate Planning Council (BEPC), where she served as president from 2013-2014. The BEPC is one of the nation’s largest and most prestigious interdisciplinary estate planning councils, with over 750 members in the greater Boston community.

In 2008, she was awarded the Accredited Estate Planner® (AEP®) designation by NAEPC in recognition of both her experience in and her interdisciplinary approach to estate planning. Judith has written articles for or been quoted in national and local publications, including The Wall Street Journal, Private Wealth magazine and Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. She has also chaired or been a panelist for numerous programs, including for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE), the Massachusetts Bar Association and BEPC, and is a contributor to several MCLE treatises.

Judith was a founding member of the Professional Advisory Committee for the Boston Foundation. She earned a Bachelor of Arts with honors from Harvard University and a Juris Doctor from the New York University School of Law.
