Kenneth Shogren

Managing Director

Kenneth Shogren is the Regional Director—Illinois Private Banking for CIBC Private Wealth Management, with 14 years of industry experience. In this role, he leads the private banking team in the Illinois market and manages the collaboration between the commercial bank and Private Wealth.

Kenneth’s most recent role was serving as Chief of Staff to the President and CEO of CIBC Bank USA since September 2016. Prior to that, he was the senior portfolio manager of CIBC Bank USA’s 16-office regional footprint in the U.S. where he was a member of its managing team. Previously, he was a commercial banking relationship manager for CIBC’s Construction & Engineering Division. Before joining CIBC in 2007, Kenneth began his career in commercial banking at LaSalle Bank.

Kenneth holds bachelors’ degrees in finance and accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

In addition to his work in banking, he was part of the inaugural fellowship class at World Business Chicago, a non-profit entity focused on growing jobs and the economy in the City of Chicago. He also serves on the boards of Genesys Works Chicago and the Chicago area Boy Scouts of America Council.
