Philip W. Cecil

Phil Cecil serves as Deputy General Counsel for CIBC Private Wealth (U.S.), with more than 30 years of experience. In this role, he handles legal and regulatory matters for the firm.

Prior to joining CIBC Private Wealth, Phil was vice president and senior legal counsel at T. Rowe Price, where he handled legal matters for the firm’s managed accounts and private asset management lines of business. Previously, he served as general counsel and chief administrative officer at McDonnell Investment Management for 10 years. Earlier in his career, he served as corporate counsel at Invesco, William Blair & Company and as an attorney at Van Kampen/American Capital.

Phil received a Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from DePauw University.
