Bob Merkle is a relationship manager for CIBC Private Wealth with more than 35 years of experience helping high net worth families achieve their wealth management objectives.

Prior to joining Geneva Advisors, which became part of CIBC in 2017, Bob was a founder and principal at PEAK6 Asset Management (PAM), a private investment partnership established in 2008, where he co-managed both the partnership and the investment partnership assets and also served as chief financial officer. From 1985 to 2008, he was a principal, portfolio manager, chief investment officer and director of research at Hotchkiss Associates LLC. Before joining Hotchkiss, he worked at Mid-Continent Capital and at Warburg Paribas Becker.

Bob earned his Bachelor of Science degree with distinction from Cornell University’s Engineering College and a Master of Business Administration degree in finance from the University of Chicago. He holds both the Chartered Financial Analyst® and Chartered Investment Counselor designations.
