Tara L. Harris

Tara Harris is the team co-head for the CIBC Family Office Group in St. Louis, with 25 years of experience. In her role she works closely with her clients serving as their primary trusted advisor and client advocate at CIBC, managing all aspects of client relationships, and ensuring collaborative, cohesive advice for each generation of the client family in order for the client’s needs to be met and goals to be achieved. As team co-head, Tara leads the team of professionals implementing family office service for all St. Louis Family Office clients which unites traditional wealth management services – investment consulting, credit and banking, financial reporting and wealth strategy - with cutting-edge strategic services – governance, fiduciary support, risk management, financial education and philanthropic strategy.

Previously, Tara served as chief family office executive at Lowenhaupt Global Advisors, which became part of CIBC Private Wealth in 2019, where she was responsible for the design, implementation and management of all client services. Prior to joining LGA, Tara managed investor relations and reporting for a venture capital fund.

Tara earned her Bachelor of Arts in English literature and theatre arts, magna cum laude, from Hastings College and studied accounting at Northwestern University. Tara has volunteered with the St. Louis Art Museum and Cub Scouts of America and served as treasurer for cub scout pack 529.
