Tom O’Connor is an investment associate in CIBC Private Wealth’s Chicago office, with more than 10 years of industry experience. In this role, he is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of the firm’s investment strategy, as well as the management of investments for high net worth and institutional clients.

Prior to joining CIBC Private Wealth, Tom served as a credit portfolio manager at Northern Trust, where he performed credit research on global financial institutions.

Tom earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Miami University of Ohio and a Master of Business Administration degree from DePaul’s Kellstadt School of Business. Additionally, Tom holds the  Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of the CFA Society of Chicago.
