Halsey O. Schreier
Senior Vice President
Halsey Schreier is a senior wealth strategist for CIBC Private Wealth Management with more than 10 years of industry experience. In this role, he works closely with high net worth clients in New York, the Mid-Atlantic and the Southeast to provide integrated wealth management services, including comprehensive estate and financial planning solutions, multi-generational legacy planning and fiduciary administration for trusts and probate estates.
Prior to joining the firm, Halsey served as an associate with Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP, where he focused his practice on estate and tax planning for high net worth individuals, trust and estate administration, business succession planning, and corporate law. Previously, Halsey was an associate for Clawson and Staubes LLC, in Charleston, South Carolina.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of South Carolina, a Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in taxation from the New York University School of Law.
He is admitted to the South Carolina, North Carolina and New York bars. Additionally, Halsey served as a member of the South Carolina Bar Probate, Estate Planning and Trust Section Council and has co-authored articles for the South Carolina Lawyer.
