Linda S. Beerman

Head of Wealth Strategies

Linda Beerman serves as head of Wealth Strategies Group for CIBC Private Wealth. She joined the firm in 2001, serving as its first head of Wealth Strategies and later also as chief fiduciary officer with more than 40 years of industry experience. In this role, she leads the Wealth Strategies Group and guides its firm-wide initiatives, including Women’s CIRCLE and G2G Impact. In addition, she works with clients and their advisors to develop and implement charitable, estate, and wealth transfer and management planning as part of CIBC Private Wealth, U.S.'s integrated wealth management process.​

Prior to joining the firm in 2001, Linda was the manager of estate and financial planning for Wachovia's Trust Department, which she joined in 1978. Linda received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Denison University and a Juris Doctor degree from the Wake Forest University School of Law. She is a member of the North Carolina Bar and the North Carolina Bar Association. She has served on the Trust Drafting Committee of the North Carolina General Statutes Commission and as an adjunct faculty member of the Wake Forest University School of Law.​

Linda was also a member of the Wake Forest University and Forsyth Country Day School Planned Giving Advisory councils, and the Forsyth Country Day School Board of Trustees.​

Linda has been featured in several major publications including Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg and Private Wealth magazine, and in 2015 was named one of the 50 Most Influential Women in Private Wealth by Private Asset Management magazine.
